What we do not collect for calcs
Rate, fee, and KEEP inputs stay on your device for the page session. There is no RealRateCalc backend that stores your income, rates, or sale amounts. Your hosting provider (and the CDN in front of the site) may still log normal web requests — IP, user-agent, URL, timestamps — the same way any static site does.
Local preferences
Theme and appearance prefs (light/dark, accent, background) are saved in your browser via
localStorage keys such as utility_theme, utility_accent, and utility_bg.
That data never leaves your browser through our code. Clear site data or switch browsers to reset it.
Analytics
Pages may load /analytics.js. Today the Measurement ID is empty, so
no Google Analytics / gtag scripts are loaded and no page-view beacons go to Google.
If a Measurement ID (GA4 G-…) is ever set in that file, Google would receive standard page-view data under
Google’s privacy policy
(with IP anonymization requested in our config). Until then: no third-party analytics from that script.
Affiliate links
Some pages include affiliate or partner links (for example Shopify via Impact). Clicking those goes to the partner’s site under their own privacy practices. Status and tracking honesty live on the affiliate disclosure page — we do not invent tracking IDs.
Contact
Questions about this page: use the site contact / author channel you already use for RealRateCalc (Chris Ferguson). This is a practical site note, not legal counsel.
