A UK-based private seller pays no final value fee when the delivery address is in the UK, so a £100 sale keeps £100.00. If the delivery address is outside the UK, eBay charges 3% of the total sale and you keep £97.00.

This is the private-seller schedule. Vehicles, eBay Live, and business-seller fees are different and are not on this page. Promoted Listings and optional upgrades are extra. When eBay converts the funds, a seller currency-conversion charge of 2.5% applies, rising to 2.75% from 1 December 2026 for sellers registered in the UK. That charge is not inside the £100.00 or £97.00 keeps.

FAQ

How much do you keep on £100 as a UK private seller?

When the page opens: KEEP £100.00. eBay says it is free for UK-based private sellers to sell, excluding motors, so there is no final value fee and no regulatory operating fee when the item sells inside the UK. A delivery address outside the UK adds an international fee of 3% of the total sale, including postage, so £100 keeps £97.00.

What does a listing cost after the free 300?

Private sellers get 300 free listings a month, or 400 with an eBay Shop subscription. Each listing after that is 35p. One extra listing on a £100 sale leaves £99.65. The 35p is a listing fee, not a final value fee.

Does this page cover business sellers?

No. Business-seller fees depend on the category. Vehicles and eBay Live are also excluded.
