Planning guide · Not legal advice

They added more approvers. Here’s the extra.

The quote assumed one decision-maker. Then legal, brand, and a VP joined the chain. Type how many extra people, hours per extra person you type, and your hourly floor. Extra is that product. This card will not invent “each extra stakeholder is 2 hours,” a complimentary legal pass, or a 50-state tax engine.

Copy-paste sentence (extra people on a one-signer quote):

Next money on this hub:

One signer was in the quote. The chain grew.

A 2026 thread will tell you “stakeholders are free — that’s just how agencies work.” That sentence is not a statute here, not a courtesy table, and not what this card computes. Your quote named one decision-maker. Then the inbox multiplied: legal wants a redline, brand wants to sit on the deck, a VP who was never on the SOW wants a look. Those extra people still use the same hourly floor from the hub — yearly keep, billable weeks, tax slice you entered there. This page does not copy that tax slice and is not a 50-state tax engine. Dollar signs here are labels so 2 × 2 × $90 is easy to read. Invoice in another currency on the hub. If $90 is still a guess, set the floor first on how to set a freelance rate.

Extra-approvers fee = extra people you type × hours per extra person you type × hourly floor. Hours per extra person are hours you type — routing, explaining, waiting, folding their notes. This card will not mint a 2-hour-per-stakeholder default, a “legal is always complimentary,” or a percent of the original quote. Clear the 2 if your clock is 0.5 or 4. The product follows what you typed.

Worked USD: 2 extra people × 2h × $90 = $360

Preset: 2 extra people (legal and brand, in this example — type whoever actually joined). 2 hours per extra person — because you typed 2, not because this page invented a 2-hour stakeholder rule. Floor $90. Review hours: 2 × 2 = 4. Extra: 4 × $90 = $360.

That $360 is two extra inboxes on a quote that already assumed one signer. It is not another pass after included rounds. It is not new screens. It is not a standing Monday Zoom. Do not route the file through the extra people until the dollars have a name. Copy the sentence. Confirm. Then send the deck.

Legal, brand, and a VP is three clocks, not one “committee”

Second preset: 3 extra people, still 2 hours each you typed, still $90. Review hours: 3 × 2 = 6. Extra: 6 × $90 = $540.

Three extra names is three extra routing loops. “The committee will take a look” does not collapse three people into one hour. If the VP actually joined, name the third product. Do not hide a third inbox inside “we’re just looping people in.”

You were going to eat legal

Third preset: still 2 × 2h at $90. Extra is still $360. Eating the extra inboxes does not make you easy to book. It trains the next “we just need one more set of eyes.” Name the extra or give it away on purpose — do not pretend legal and brand were already in the one-signer quote.

This card is not the other money cards

They did not ask for another pass on the same logo after the included revision rounds in YOUR quote are used. That rework is hours this extra round × floor on the revision-round card. Extra-approvers is extra people on a chain that assumed one signer. Same file can pick up notes from three new inboxes; the money here is people × hours/person you type, not “hours this extra round.” If they also burned the included set and want another pass with the original signer, price that round there. Extra inboxes stay here. Two clocks if both happened.

They did not add extra NEW hours of scope. New screens, new features, a different deliverable on a live quote is the change-order add-on: extra hours × floor, new project total = original quote + that product. Extra approvers is the same pages, a longer review roster. Do not launder three extra inboxes into “a couple more hours of work.” If they also asked for new screens and they added legal, price the new hours on change-order and the extra people here.

They did not drop a recurring Monday Zoom that sits outside the job hours. Call extra = calls per week × hours per call you type × weeks × this floor on the weekly-call card. 1 × 0.5h × 4 weeks × $90 = $180. Extra approvers can mean extra threads; it is not a standing invite. Do not hide a weekly status call inside “legal is looping in.” Price the invite there. Price the extra inboxes here.

They did not ask for a one-shot paid workshop as a gate before you quote. Hours you type × floor, billed before the project number, is the kickoff-workshop card. 4h × $90 = $360. That half-day is not three extra approvers on a live SOW. A kickoff can have many people in the room; this card is extra people added after a quote that assumed one decision-maker. Do not launder a pre-quote workshop into this extra.

They did not drop a 40-page NDA or MSA for you to read and redline after a quote that assumed a normal contract. Hours you type to sit with their paper × floor is the NDA-review card. 2h × $90 = $180. Extra inboxes are extra eyes on your deck. An NDA read is your eyes on their clauses. Not a $500 flat. Not a lawyer mill. If they added legal as a signer and they sent the stack, price the people here and the read there. Two clocks.

A full engagement — production, kickoff, revisions, a buffer you set — is quote a project. Extra inboxes on an already-sent number are not that package. If $90 is still a guess, rebuild it on the hub first.

Send the sentence before you route the extra inboxes

Name the extra people. Name the hours per extra person you typed. Name the floor. Name the extra. Copy from the card so the dollars match.

Skip guilt, fake scarcity, and “everyone includes unlimited stakeholders.” Those lines turn extra inboxes into a lecture. There is no official 2-hour-per-person rule on this page. If they will not confirm, do not route the file. The original quote still covers one decision-maker. If the ask is actually another pass after included rounds, leave this card and use revision-round. If the ask is new screens, use change-order. If the $90 floor moved, go back to the hub and rebuild it before you name the extra people.

Planning math, not a stakeholder policy

Educational only — not legal, tax, or collections advice. We do not invent a required 2-hour-per-stakeholder rule, a statutory legal-review fee, a complimentary brand pass, marketplace approval calendars, or a 50-state tax engine. Use the agreement you already have. An approval-chain clause a court will enforce is something a lawyer where you work drafts before you send the deck to three new inboxes. Filling this card does not write that clause.

Inputs: extra people you type, hours per extra person you type, hourly floor. Outputs: review hours, extra-approvers fee, one pasteable sentence. Dollars on this page; live currency and the tax slice live on the hub.

Rate calculator Same file after included rounds Extra NEW hours of scope Standing Zoom outside the hours Your hours on their NDA Set the hourly floor

If your billable-week count moved, set the hourly floor again on the hub before you price the extra inboxes. Extra people on a quote that assumed one decision-maker are named here — people × hours/person you type × floor, not a 2-hour-per-stakeholder rule. Same-file rework after included rounds lives on revision-round. Extra NEW hours of scope live on change-order. A recurring Zoom that sits outside the job hours lives on weekly-call. Hours you sit with their NDA after a normal-contract quote live on nda-review — 2h × $90 = $180, not extra inboxes. Still guessing at the floor? Start on how to set a freelance rate.

FAQ

How do I charge when a freelance quote assumed one decision-maker and they add extra approvers?

Extra-approvers fee is extra people you type × hours per extra person you type × your hourly floor. The original quote priced one named signer. Legal, brand, or a VP joining the chain is extra calendar on the same deliverable. Planning math, not a contract.

Is each extra freelance stakeholder automatically 2 hours?

Not on this page. There is no official 2-hour-per-stakeholder rule, no complimentary legal review, and no industry “brand always sits in.” Type hours per extra person. The worked example uses 2 hours because you typed 2 — 2 people × 2h × $90 = $360. Clear the 2 if that is not your clock.

Is extra approvers the same as a revision round, a change order, a weekly call, or a kickoff workshop?

No. A revision round is another pass on the SAME file after the included rounds in YOUR quote are used. A change order is extra NEW hours of scope — new screens, new features. A weekly call is a recurring Zoom that sits outside the job hours. A kickoff workshop is a paid session BEFORE you will quote. An NDA review is hours YOU sit with THEIR paper after a quote that assumed a normal contract — not extra inboxes. This card is extra people on a live quote that assumed one decision-maker.

What if I was going to eat legal and brand for free?

Eating the extra inboxes still spends the hours you type per extra person. 2 extra people × 2 hours × a $90 floor is still $360. Naming that extra is not a fight. Routing the deck through unpaid legal trains the next “we just need one more set of eyes.”

Is this extra-approvers math a contract, a stakeholder policy, or a 50-state tax engine?

No. Educational planning only — not legal, tax, or collections advice. Dollar marks so 2 × 2 × $90 is readable. Currency and tax buffer live on the hub. This page is not a 50-state tax engine. Filling the card does not write an approval-chain clause.
