The file already left. They want it back open.

A revision blog will tell you “two rounds are included, then 25% of the fee.” That is not a law, not in this card, and not how 2026 hours leave the week. The quote already named a number of passes. Those passes happened. They now want the same deliverable touched again — bigger type on the mark, another pass on the same layout, the same screens with different copy. That is rework of this file, not a new one.

Extra-round fee = hours this extra round will take × hourly floor. The hourly floor is the one you already built on the hub calculator. This page does not clone that tax buffer and does not run a 50-state tax engine. Labels here are USD so the arithmetic stays readable. Switch currency on the hub if you invoice in something else.

Included rounds are whatever YOUR quote already said

Type how many included rounds they already used. That number lives in the agreement you already sent — one, two, four, zero. This card will not invent a guild default, an “industry standard of 2,” or a percent of the original fee. Included rounds are a budgeted pass count they already bought. This card prices the next one.

If you type 0, they may still be inside the included set. Then this extra-round fee is not due yet. Change the used number to match the quote, not a blog.

Worked example: 3 hours × $80 after the included set

Preset: same file, 3 more hours. Included rounds already used 2 — because that is what this quote said, not because two is a rule. Floor $80. Hours this extra round 3. 3 × $80 = $240. That $240 is the rework fee for reopening the same deliverable. It is not added as a new page, a new feature, or a new quote total on this card. It is the next pass.

Second preset: make the logo bigger. Same used count. 2 hours × $80 = $160. A two-word Slack ping still opens the file, still rereads the last round, still exports. Eating it trains the next “one more look.”

Third preset: included rounds not used yet. Used 0. The product is still 3 × $80 = $240, but the card flags that this fee is not due while they are still inside the included set. Type the used number when those rounds are actually gone.

New screens are a change order. Same file stays here.

If they asked for another landing page, a new checkout flow, extra features that were never in the brief — that is extra NEW hours on a live quote. Price it on the change-order card: extra hours × floor, new project total = original quote + that product. Do not launder new scope into “one more revision.”

If they asked to make the logo bigger, shift the headline, or take another pass on the same file after the included rounds are used, stay on this page. Same deliverable. Different week of hours. The original quote already paid for the included set. This pass is new money at the floor.

Nothing cancelled. Hours already worked vs a deposit is the kill-fee keep / unpaid gap. Do not paste a cancel sentence onto a revision ping.

There is still a live job. A $40 inbound tweak with no quote is the minimum-fee card — max(their offer, N hours × floor). If they already hired you and the file already exists, that card is the wrong door.

If the brief actually changed shape, stop counting extra rounds and rebuild on quote a project. If you do not trust the hourly number yet, set it on how to set a freelance rate — income, billable hours, tax buffer you set — then come back and type the hours for this pass.

Send the sentence before you reopen the file

Name the included rounds they already used. Name the hours this extra round will take. Name the dollars. Copy from the card so the numbers match.

Skip guilt, fake scarcity, and “everyone includes two rounds.” Those lines turn a used-count into a lecture. If they will not confirm, do not reopen the file. The original quote still covers only the included set. If the ask is actually new screens, leave this card and use change-order. If there was never a job, use minimum-fee.
