A sold vintage armchair is not a closet 20% and not a $0.20 listing ticket. Chairish Help (fetched 28 Aug 2026) starts every new shop on Consignor: 40% of the item sale. At 10 live listings you auto-upgrade to Professional at 30%. Shipping the buyer paid is not in that percent — Help says so twice. PayPal and Stripe processing is a second company, and Chairish absorbs it for the seller. This card still leaves payment empty until you type a Drop Off & Go packing line or another reduction from your statement. That furniture stack is not Etsy’s $0.20 listing + 6.5% + country processing.
Official-shaped formula: keep = sale − Chairish commission you type − payment you type. Sale is the furniture sticker (Sale Amount). Shipping the buyer paid is not in the commission. Default is a $1,000 vintage chair at the official Consignor 40%, with payment empty ($0) because Help says Chairish absorbs processing. Change any field.

When you first open your account, your seller plan is assigned the “Consignor” plan by default. When you reach 10 live listings, you’ll automatically be upgraded to “Professional”.

That is the furniture machine. There is no insertion fee. Consign with Us repeats free to list and free to renew. The cut is a plan percent of Sale Amount — the price the piece sold for — not a category ladder and not a $0.20 ticket.
“Sale Amount” means the sales price for which your item was sold or the price that we actually received from the buyer. This excludes amounts assessed on the sale (like taxes and duties), shipping and delivery costs paid by the buyer, transaction fees such as credit card transaction costs, and international and bank-wire fees.

A $1,000 sideboard with $250 white-glove freight still pays commission on $1,000, not $1,250. That is the opposite of a vinyl catalog that skims postage. “Free shipping” baked into a higher sticker does raise Sale Amount — you are then paying 40% of the baked-in freight. Undercharging postage on seller-managed shipping is a different hit: Help says your own label and insurance are not reimbursed unless you had a prior documented arrangement. Their $1,000 example: if you bought $125 insurance on your own, that $125 does not appear as a credit on the payout.

Membership dollars are monthly or annual — they are not a per-chair percent. This card does not amortize $49 across listings. If you want that month’s bill in the keep, type it as a payment flat. Professional status has a 6-month grace if you drop below 10 live listings; the timer restarts whenever you hit 9. Help says only high-volume sellers are eligible for Plus or Elite.
Wholesale / manufacturer terms are named on Consign with Us as “traditional wholesale terms” without a percent on the public compare table. This page will not invent one.
Elite and Platinum vintage/used is not “always 20%.” Help: a cumulative sliding scale. Each lot can be charged more than one percent, depending on sale price.

Payout is Stripe Connect (US bank / debit) or PayPal, after the item is delivered or locally picked up and the 48-hour return window closes. Help: payment typically appears about 6 days after the sale is closed (plus 3–5 bank days). Elite’s compare table on Consign with Us names an option to receive 50% of sale proceeds 72 hours after sale — that is a timing option, not a different commission percent, and this card will not treat 50% as a fee.
Drop Off & Go packing is named as a seller-chosen fee that does reduce the payout. The public HTML we fetched does not print a packing dollar. Type it. Empty = $0 here.
