Facebook Marketplace fees (estimates)

Estimates last checked Aug 2026. Meta can change this at any time. Confirm in your Marketplace seller settings. This is a planning model — not tax, legal, or accounting advice, and not affiliated with Meta/Facebook.

Path Selling fee Listing fee What the % applies to
Local pickup $0 selling fee $0 n/a — Facebook does not take a selling fee on local pickup
Shipped via Facebook checkout 10% of buyer-paid total, $0.80 minimum $0 Item + shipping (+ tax if Meta collects it)

Use the FB local $0 or FB shipped 10% preset above to load this into the calculator. If checkout includes buyer-paid shipping (and tax Meta collects), add those into the item/order price so the 10% models the buyer-paid total.

Amazon, eBay, Etsy & marketplace seller profit

Looking for an Amazon fee calculator, eBay seller fee calculator, Etsy fees calculator, or Shopee/Lazada profit tool? How marketplace seller profit is estimated

Rough net profit = gross sales − platform fees − COGS − shipping/packaging − other costs. Platform fees here combine commission %, transaction %, optional service %, optional withholding %, and any flat fee. This is a planning model, not a settlement statement.

Typical fee building blocks (any country)

Exact numbers change by marketplace, category, campaign, and seller program. Treat the fields above as a fee stack you control:

Always re-check the current schedule in your seller dashboard for your region. Presets are illustrative only — not official rates for any marketplace.

How to use break-even price

Break-even is the unit price where estimated profit hits zero after fees and your costs. If your listing is below break-even, ads and vouchers will make losses worse — raise price, cut COGS, or skip unprofitable promos.

Worked example (illustrative)

Item 25, COGS 10, shipping/pack 3, commission 12%, transaction 2.9%, flat 0.30: platform fees stack on gross, then subtract COGS and shipping. Change any input above to see live profit, margin %, and fee drag. Switch currency label to match your market.

FAQ

Is this an official marketplace calculator?

No. It is an independent planning tool with editable rates. For settlement truth, use your seller dashboard and official tools.

Which marketplaces work?

Any store with % and/or flat fees — Shopee, Lazada, Amazon-style, regional marketplaces, or a custom stack.

Do rates include VAT / sales tax?

Defaults are simplified. If your fees are quoted differently, type the effective % you actually see deducted so the model matches reality.

Why is my profit negative on “hot” items?

Often promo price + ads + shipping subsidies. Use presets (e.g. low-margin) and raise price or cut “other cost” until margin is acceptable.

Is my data private?

Yes. Everything runs in your browser; nothing is uploaded to a server.

Is this tax advice?

No. Tax rules differ by country. The optional tax/WHT field is only a rough planning knob — talk to a local tax pro for filing.

Are marketplace fees the same in every country?

No. Referral fees, payments, and ads differ by marketplace and category. Edit the percents to match your seller center.

Does this include ads or coupons?

You can model extra percent or fixed costs as part of the stack. It is not connected to Amazon Ads or coupon APIs.

How do I find my real referral fee percent?

Check your seller center or fee schedule by category. Replace the default percent here with that number so net and margin match your store.

Should shipping be in the fee stack or COGS?

Either works if you are consistent. Many sellers put paid shipping/labels in costs and keep marketplace percents in the fee stack.

What is a healthy net margin after marketplace fees?

It depends on category and ads. Many sellers target double-digit net after fees and COGS; run your real percents here before you discount.

Can I model category-specific referral fees?

Yes. Change the referral percent per scenario. Big categories often differ — do not assume one sitewide rate.
