Vestiaire Collective runs two payout machines. Self-list: you photograph it, you price it, prepaid label, and they take a selling fee plus 3% processing off the final sale price — 12% + 3% in USD on $83–$16,667, 17% + 3% in EUR on €75–€15,000. Consignment (EU, UK, US): they pick it up, shoot it, write it, store it, ship it, and the official USD table pays you a 65% keep on $150–$999. The $15 authentication fee is a buyer line on Authenticated Shipping. It is not The RealReal’s clothing earnings rate of Net Selling Price, not Poshmark’s 20% of listing, and not Grailed’s 9% / 6% $120 line.
Default row: USD self-list, $400 → 12% + 3% → $340.00 keep. Switch currency to see the EUR 17% mid-band. Switch mode to see the consignment keep grid. Buyer $15 auth and 5–28% buyer service fee are not in this card.
Help’s self-list sentence is the tell:
“Listing your items is free on Vestiaire Collective. Once you make a sale, a Selling Fee of 12%* will be deducted from the final price of your sale.”
Deducted. That 12% is what they take, then processing sits on top. Consignment Help inverts the language on purpose:
“You will earn up to 80% of the item price.”
That 80% is what you keep — the same inversion The RealReal prints as “We pay between 20% – 70%.” A Vestiaire consignment 65% row on $400 is $260 to you. A Vestiaire self-list 12% row on $400 is $48 to them, plus $12 processing, $340 to you. Paste “Vestiaire takes 65%” into a Poshmark worksheet and you have inverted the keep.

Seller T&Cs (9 March 2026): total Seller Fees shall not exceed thirty percent (30%) of the product price.

The EUR 17% mid-band is why a Paris closet and a Brooklyn closet do not share a worksheet. GBP stayed on the 12% family; EUR/SEK/DKK/PLN moved on 9 June 2026. This page will not convert €400 to USD and pretend the percents match.
Inputs that are official: USD $83–$16,667 selling fee 12%; payment processing 3% (min $3); listing free; deductions from the final sale price.
Second official self-list row, €400 EUR (€75–€15,000 = 17% + 3%): €400.00 × 0.17 = €68.00 selling; €400.00 × 0.03 = €12.00 processing; keep = €320.00.
Third official row, $80 USD (under $83): selling $10.00 + processing $3.00 = $13.00 house; keep = $67.00. Help will not accept a list under $18.
Help does not print these dollar keeps. The percents, flats, and mins are theirs; the subtraction is ours.
Buyer: Authentication fees (en-US, fetched 28 Aug 2026): Authenticated Shipping goes to a Vestiaire hub; “The Authentication Fee for all items is just $15.” En-GB prints £15. If Direct Shipping is not available, physical authentication is included in the buyer service fee — no extra authentication fee.
Buyer service fee is charged to the buyer: typically 5% to 28% of the item price (inclusive of any currency-conversion fee), minimum 5 EUR/GBP/USD/CHF, and may not exceed the Buyer T&Cs cap (Buyer T&Cs: 30%). It covers guaranteed delivery, online inspection of every listing, physical authentication when Direct Shipping is off, a 72-hour free relist without selling fees, and support.
That is the opposite of The RealReal, where authentication is bundled into the house remainder of an earnings-rate keep — you never see a $15 buyer auth line because you handed the piece to them first. On Vestiaire self-list, the seller keep card is sale price minus selling fee minus processing. The buyer’s 5–28% and $15 sit on the other side of checkout.
Official Consignment Service Help: available in the EU, UK, and US; appointment; they handle pick-up, expert photography, descriptions, market-rate pricing, storage, and shipment. Eligibility printed: based in EU/UK/US, at least 5 luxury/designer items, very good condition. Unsold return: €20 per item. Payments Help: no upfront fee; payment minus consignment commission within 24 hours of processing the buyer’s payment; in-account within 5 working days.
Official USD consignment image (Help attachment, OCR + read 28 Aug 2026) — amount due to the consignor is the keep:
| USD sold price | House commission | You keep |
|---|---|---|
| $0 – $149 | $60 | up to $89 |
| $150 – $999 | 35% | 65% |
| $1,000 – $4,999 | 30% | 70% |
| $5,000 – $9,999 | 20% | 80% |
| $10,000+ | 15% | 85% |
EUR image (or currency equivalent for an EU country) and GBP image use the same percents above the floor, with different floors and high-band cutovers:
| Band | EUR | GBP |
|---|---|---|
| Floor (flat house / max keep) | 0–150€ → 50€ / up to 100€ | £0–£150 → £50 / up to £100 |
| 35% / 65% | 151–500€ | £151–£500 |
| 30% / 70% | 501–5,000€ | £501–£4,500 |
| 20% / 80% | 5,001–10,000€ | £4,501–£8,400 |
| 15% / 85% | 10,001€+ | £8,401+ |
Worked consignment keep, $400 USD ($150–$999 = 65%): $400.00 × 0.65 = $260.00. House 35% = $140.00. Same $400 self-list was $340.00 — the $80 gap is the photography, copy, pricing, storage, and outbound they bundled in. Help’s “up to 80%” sentence is the $5,000–$9,999 USD row (and the EUR/GBP 20/80 rows). The 85% top row is printed on the same images. This page will not collapse 85% into 80%.

| Vestiaire self-list USD | They take 12% + 3% of sale price | $340.00 keep; you shot it and shipped it |
| Vestiaire self-list EUR | They take 17% + 3% | €320.00 keep on €400 — not a USD twin |
| Vestiaire consignment USD | You keep 65% of sold price ($150–$999) | $260.00; they shot, stored, shipped |
| The RealReal clothing Trendsetter | You keep 60% of Net Selling Price | $240.00 cash (intake, auth, photos, price, ship bundled) |
| Fashionphile consignment | They take 30% of sale price (under $3,000) | $280.00 keep; they authenticated and listed; you wait out the return window |
| Poshmark US ≥ $15 | They take 20% of listing | $320.00 keep; you shot it, listed it, packed it |
| Grailed Label ≥ $120 | They take 9% of sale price + processing | $400 − 9% − onboarded US processing 3.49%+$0.49 → $349.55 (Help percents; subtraction ours) |
Vestiaire self-list $340 vs Poshmark $320 is not “Vestiaire is cheaper.” Poshmark’s 20% is one line; Vestiaire’s 15% effective is two official lines (12 + 3) and a buyer who may also pay $15 auth plus a 5–28% service fee you never see in My Sales. Vestiaire consignment $260 vs The RealReal $240 is not a 5-point coupon either — different bands, different floors ($60 Vestiaire vs 20% TRR clothing under $100), different payout clocks (Vestiaire consignment 24 hours / 5 days vs TRR 15th of the next month).

No. Official table: EUR mid-band is 17% + 3% from 9 June 2026. GBP stayed 12% + 3%.
Not on the official buyer auth article. $15 / £15 is a buyer fee on Authenticated Shipping. If Direct Shipping is off, physical auth is inside the buyer service fee.
Self-list USD keep $340.00 (you did the listing work). Consignment USD keep $260.00 (they did intake through ship). Different machines — not a 5-point coupon vs The RealReal’s $240 clothing keep. Same $400 as a dedicated trio (not this decoder): Vestiaire vs The RealReal.
No. Help already folds VAT/GST/US sales tax into the published selling fees where applicable. This page will not invent Illinois vs California.
