Same $50 listing. 20% vs sticker keep.

Same closet sticker. Poshmark still takes a listing-price commission. Vinted still prints a $0 take. Live get-started (HTTP 200, 28 Aug 2026) charges US sellers $2.95 under $15, or 20% of the listing price at $15+ (Poshmark fees explained). Selling basics still says there are no fees for selling; How it works still says you keep 100% of what you earn (Vinted fees explained). Buyer-paid $6.49 Ground Advantage sits beside that 20%, not inside it — unless the unread Fee Policy says otherwise. Vinted Buyer Protection ($0.70+5%) sits on the buyer. It does not come off keep. Identity of this card: 20% of listing vs sticker keep. Mercari vs Vinted is 10% of item+buyer-paid shipping vs that Wallet ($45.00, not $40.00). Depop vs Vinted is Stripe 3.3%+$0.45 vs that Wallet ($47.90, not $40.00).

Independent — not affiliated with Poshmark or Vinted. Live fetch 28 Aug 2026 (America/Chicago). Poshmark: get-started (HTTP 200) — $2.95 under $15, 20% of listing price at $15+, keep 80%; listing free; withdrawals free; credit-card fees handled. Fee Policy gap: Terms 10.d incorporates a Fee Policy; the legal-center tab exists on poshmark.com/terms (ToS 4.6) but this fetch did not yield Fee Policy body text; poshmark.com/legal/fee_policy returned 404; support article 297755057 did not return a body. Commission numbers therefore come from get-started, not from an unread exhibit. Vinted (HTTP 200): Selling basics still has no selling fees; How it works still has keep 100%; US Price List (stamp 1 July 2024) still auto-charges the Buyer $0.70 + 5% of item, postage excluded. Gaps we will not fill: unread Fee Policy (do not mill $6.49 into 20%); 2024 Price List stamp in a 2026 article (checkout wins); help/342 “usually / varies”; no public US bump grid (blank paste = $0); Promoted Closet Terms print no default CPC (do not invent ~$0.09); dead Oct 2024 1-2-3 / 5.99% blog still 404s (do not use it). Confirm inside your accounts. Planning model — not tax, legal, or accounting advice. No affiliate IDs.

Same $50 card (Poshmark 20% of listing vs Vinted sticker)

Default: $50 listing → Poshmark 20% band (not the $2.95 cliff). Buyer-paid $6.49 stays off keep until you mark seller-paid. Overweight stays $0 until you pick a published tier. Vinted bump is receipt-only. Vinted Buyer Protection is a buyer checkout preview, not a keep cut.

Poshmark leftover = listing − ($2.95 if listing < $15, else 20% × listing) − overweight − seller-paid $6.49 only if marked. Vinted leftover = listing − any bump dollar you paste. US seller help does not print a selling percent to subtract. Buyer Protection remains buyer checkout. $6.49 is not inside the 20% on get-started. Planning math only.

Poshmark leftover after 20% / $2.95 (before COGS)
Vinted sticker leftover (before COGS)
Sticker gap (Vinted − Poshmark leftover)
Poshmark band
Poshmark commission / overweight / seller-paid label
Bump paste / buyer BP preview (not a keep cut)

The unique unit: listing-price 20% against a printed $0 take

Free to list is not free to pay out. Get-started still takes 20% of the listing price once the sticker is $15 or more — or a single $2.95 under $15. That 20% is not Mercari’s 10%, and it is not Depop’s 3.3% + $0.45. Vinted is not a second 20% column. US seller help still sends the listed price to the Wallet. That is why $50 leftover is $40.00 vs $50.00 here, not the $45.00 vs $50.00 empty-ship leftover on Mercari vs Vinted, and not the $47.90 vs $50.00 Stripe leftover on Depop vs Vinted. The $15 cliff is Poshmark’s. The Wallet does not have one.

Seller take published $2.95 under $15; 20% of listing price at $15+, keep 80%. Listing free. Credit-card fees handled — do not stack 2.9%. No fees for selling; keep 100%. Modeled as $0 platform take on a standard Buy now.
Fee base Listing price. Get-started does not put buyer shipping or tax in the 20%. Unread Fee Policy is a gap, not a mill. Standard Buy now: no seller percent printed. Optional bump is a checkout dollar, not 20% of listing.
Buyer checkout (leave off keep) Buyer pays last official $6.49 Ground Advantage (up to 5 lb). Terms 10.j: buyer is responsible for shipping fees. US Price List Buyer Protection billed to the Buyer: $0.70 + 5% of item; shipping / extras / tax excluded.
Optional seller cash Overweight from earnings: $5.00 (5.1–10 lb) / $10.00 (10.1–15 lb). Promoted Closet is CPC with no published default click price — paste an invoice; do not invent ~$0.09. Bump / Showcase: in-app price before pay. No published US %. Do not paste Poshmark 20% onto the Wallet.
Postage in the math $6.49 is beside keep, not inside 20%. Seller-paid only if you mark it. Do not treat it like Mercari’s ship-in-10%. How it works: buyers pay for shipping. Wallet leftover remains the listed price.
Cash-out clock Get-started: withdraw anytime for free (checking, a check, or spend on Poshmark). Do not copy Mercari Instant Pay $3 here. Pending until complete; Available in 2 days; bank up to 5 business days. Help/68 prints no withdrawal %.

Poshmark (re-opened 28 Aug 2026): get-started guide (HTTP 200 — $2.95 / 20% of listing), Terms of Service (ToS 4.6; Fee Policy incorporated, body unread this fetch; /legal/fee_policy 404), support article 297755057 (no body this fetch), $6.49 Ground Advantage blog, heavier-items $5 / $10, Promoted Closet Terms (no default CPC). Vinted (HTTP 200, 28 Aug 2026): Selling basics, How it works, US Price List (stamp 1 July 2024), Is selling on Vinted free?, Who pays for shipping?. Stacks: Poshmark seller fees explained, Vinted seller fees explained. Other pairs: Mercari vs Vinted (10% of item+ship vs sticker), Depop vs Vinted (Stripe vs sticker). Hub: /seller-fees/.

1. Poshmark’s $15 cliff still takes 20% of a $50 listing

Get-started, opened 28 Aug 2026 (HTTP 200):

“For sales under $15, we charge a single flat rate of $2.95. You keep the rest. For sales of $15 or more, we charge 20% of the listing price and you keep 80%.”

There is no sliding scale. A sale is either the $2.95 cliff or the 20% band. $50 is the 20% band. That is twenty points of the sticker — twice Mercari’s ten, and not Stripe’s $0.45 flat.

$12 is the other band: $2.95 off, leftover $9.05 versus a $12 Wallet. Effective take is about 24.6% — the cliff is not “always cheaper than 20%.” $15 exactly: 20% × $15 = $3.00, leftover $12.00 versus $15.00. The Wallet has no $15 switch. Stripe’s $0.45 bite on a $12 Depop sale is a processing-flat story, not a cliff — that pair is Depop vs Vinted. Get-started’s under-$15 cell is $2.95, not $0.45. Do not mill Stripe onto Poshmark.

Get-started also says listing is free, Poshmark handles the financial transaction including credit card fees, and you can withdraw earnings anytime for free. That is why this card does not stack a 2.9% processor on the 20%, and why Mercari Instant Pay $3 does not appear as a Poshmark row.

Do not use the October 2024 1-2-3 / 5.99%-of-order-total experiment. That blog still 404s. Live get-started still quotes $2.95 / 20% of listing price.

2. The Wallet is still the sticker. Do not “even” it with a 20% haircut.

Re-opened Selling basics, 28 Aug 2026, HTTP 200:

“There are no fees for selling on Vinted, and you can list as many items as you like.”

Same day’s How it works page:

“There are no selling fees on Vinted. You keep 100% of what you earn.”

Help/373 still deposits the full selling price in the Wallet at close. Against get-started’s 20% of listing (or $2.95 under $15), that is a published $0 take, not a silent 20% we forgot to type. Leftover equals the sticker because those three US seller pages print it — not because this card averaged Mercari 10% and Depop Stripe into a fake Vinted rate.

Item Bump / Showcase still have no public US percent grid. The dollar is shown in-app before you pay. Paste a receipt; empty paste is $0. Copying Poshmark’s 20% (or the $2.95 cliff) onto a bump row “to match closets” invents a Vinted selling fee.

US Price List, last-updated stamp 1 July 2024, HTTP 200 this fetch:

“The Buyer will be automatically charged a Buyer Protection Fee… A fixed amount of $0.70; plus 5% of the item price agreed to between the Buyer and the Seller, not including the shipping costs, any additional costs and applicable taxes.”

Arithmetic on a $50 item: $3.20 on their checkout. Preview only. Official seller help does not instruct a Wallet haircut by that line. Help/342 is the buyer-facing cousin (“usually 5% + $0.70,” can vary by item, order value, single vs bundle). Folding $3.20 into keep is how blogs pretend Vinted also takes ~20%. This card will not.

Get-started has no $0.70+5% seller cell. Poshmark’s buyer line on this pair is the $6.49 Ground Advantage label — paid by the buyer, sitting outside the 20% on published get-started wording.

Other domains print other buyer formulas (UK Price List typically 3–8% + £0.3–£0.8; FR/DE typically 5% + €0.70). Those are still buyer-side. Seller wording still describes zero selling fees. This worksheet stays vinted.com USD. A UK band is not a $50 Wallet mill.

3. The unread Fee Policy is a gap — not a made-up 20%-of-ship cell

Terms 10.d (legal center, ToS 4.6, fetched 28 Aug 2026) incorporates a Fee Policy and says Poshmark charges fees as set forth there. The Fee Policy tab exists. This fetch still did not yield Fee Policy body text. https://poshmark.com/legal/fee_policy returned 404. Support article 297755057 did not return a body (timeout on this pass; previously 500, Wayback empty).

So the 20% here is quoted from live get-started, not from an unread legal exhibit. If Fee Policy ever puts shipping or tax in the 20% base, your closet statement wins. This page will not guess a 20%-of-$56.49 cell to look complete.

That gap is what makes this pair unlike Mercari vs Vinted: article 169 does print 10% of item + buyer-paid shipping. Get-started prints 20% of the listing price. Two published bases. Do not flatten them.

4. $6.49 sits beside keep. It is not Mercari’s ship-in-10%.

Both apps still mail. Poshmark’s 20% does not grow when the buyer pays the standard label — not on get-started. Vinted leftover is the listed price; How it works puts shipping on the buyer. Matching those two published rules means leftover is listing-price vs sticker, not listing-plus-postage vs sticker.

Last official standard rate: $6.49 USPS Ground Advantage, up to 5 lb, from 12 Sep 2025 (was $8.27). The 13 Feb 2026 heavier-items post said no changes to that standard label. Terms 10.j: buyer is responsible for shipping fees. A $50 Poshmark leftover of $40.00 does not shrink by $6.49 unless you actually funded the label. Dropping $6.49 into the 20% would invent 20% × $56.49 = $11.30 — a cell get-started does not print.

Overweight is the disclosed seller row: $5.00 for 5.1–10 lb and $10.00 for 10.1–15 lb, deducted from earnings (13 Feb 2026). $50 + $5 overweight → leftover $35.00 versus a $50 Wallet. That $5 left Poshmark. It did not become a Vinted percent.

Promoted Closet Terms (effective 16 May 2024) describe a paid CPC auction with a weekly budget and no published default click price. This page will not invent ~$0.09. Paste an invoice or leave ads at $0. Do not copy Depop Boost 12% onto either rail — that invert lives on other cards.

Custom Vinted shipping is the disclosed exception: help/458 says the seller pays custom shipping upfront and should bake it into the item price. Park that dollar as COGS or in the listed price you actually used. No invented custom-shipping %.

  3. Vinted Buy now: referral 0, processing 0, flat 0. Official US seller pages still describe $0 selling fees and keep 100%. If a bump actually billed, park that receipt under other costs — never type 5 or 0.70 as a seller percent.

FAQ

On the same $50 listing, who keeps more — US Poshmark or US Vinted?

Wallet leftover is $50.00 with blank bump. Poshmark leftover is $40.00 after 20% of the $50 listing price. $12 cliff: $9.05 vs $12.00. Last checked 28 Aug 2026. Confirm in each account. Vinted $3.20 Buyer Protection stays on the buyer. $6.49 is not inside the 20% on get-started.

Is Vinted Buyer Protection taken out of seller keep?

No. Selling basics / How it works / help/373 still deposit the full selling price (HTTP 200, 28 Aug 2026). The US Price List charges the Buyer $0.70 + 5% of item, shipping out. Help/342 is written for buyers. This card does not subtract $3.20.

Is Poshmark’s 20% charged on listing plus shipping?

Not on get-started. The words are 20% of the listing price. Buyer-paid $6.49 sits beside keep. Terms 10.j puts shipping on the buyer. Unread Fee Policy is a gap — if it ever puts shipping in the 20%, your statement wins. Do not mill 20% of $56.49.

Why quote get-started instead of the Fee Policy?

Terms incorporate a Fee Policy. The legal-center tab exists; this 28 Aug 2026 fetch did not yield body text. /legal/fee_policy 404’d. Support 297755057 returned no body. Live get-started (HTTP 200) still prints $2.95 / 20% of listing. Recheck the Fee Policy in a browser.

How is this different from Mercari vs Vinted and Depop vs Vinted?

Mercari vs Vinted is 10% of item + buyer-paid shipping versus a $0 take — empty-ship leftover $45.00 vs $50.00. Depop vs Vinted is Stripe 3.3%+$0.45 versus that Wallet — organic leftover $47.90 vs $50.00. This card has no ship-in-percent row and no Stripe flat. It is Poshmark’s 20% of listing (with a $2.95 cliff under $15) versus Vinted’s printed sticker ($40.00 vs $50.00).

Where are the full stacks?

Poshmark seller fees explained (US) (Fee Policy gap, $15 cliff, $6.49 not in 20%). Vinted seller fees explained (US) (sticker keep; $0.70+5% is the buyer’s line; UK/EU buyer formulas are not this USD card). Other pairs: Mercari vs Vinted · Depop vs Vinted. Hub: /seller-fees/.
